Featured on Pretty Little Weddings

I’m excited to share that Frances & Eddie’s travel themed engagement session was featured on one of my new favorite wedding blogs, Pretty Little Weddings! Pretty Little Weddings is overflowing with inspiration and advice from the industry’s top wedding vendors. And while it’s discerning eye for style and creative ideas gives plenty love, the thing that makes me fall head-over-heals is the writing of brilliant editor and founder Jillian Kramer. In addition to posting up lots of eye-candy, she gets to know the story behind the images through questions and interviews in order to create a beautiful in-depth writeup for each posting.

I absolutely LOVE what she wrote about Frances & Eddie’s engagement session! They have such a sweet story and I loved being able to experience it through her words. Click below to see for yourself (and afterwards be sure to take a peek around – I promise you’ll love what you see):

Published: Pacific Weddings & 944 Magazine

The new Winter-Spring 2011 issue of Pacific Weddings has officially hit the stands! In Decemeber the editor of Pacific Weddings Magazine wrote to ask if they could use an image I had submitted to their Love Notes Contest to be printed as a 2-page spread on the contents page (the one page everyone is sure to see). Ummm, heck yeah! I love everything about this magazine – from its amazing layouts and attention to detail down to the silky feel of the matte cover in my hands. So, it’s very cool seeing my image printed so big in it.

To pick up a copy (note: it’s their Real Wedding issue so it’s PACKED with eye-candy and gorgeous wedding inspiration), hit up your local bookstore or click here to order online.

Also, I’m excited that a couple of my images were featured in the first ever 944 Magazine Wedding Issue in a great article on my friend and talented invitation designer, Tifany of Gourmet Invitations. Check it out:

Features

Where has January gone already? 2011 is kicking in, full force! I photographed my first wedding of the year last week, Eva & Tri’s fantastic 1-11-11 celebration at Griffin Mansion! If it’s a sign of the year to come, it’s going to be one KILLER year. I’m really excited to share some of their images and I also promise lots to come from the winter weddings and shoots I have yet to blog.

That’s all coming soon! But in the meantime – I wanted to post up a few features I’ve neglected to blog with the mix of wedding-season-and-holiday-craziness that took over for a while. I owe a BIG virtual hug to these blogs for featuring my work! I’m always super appreciative to have my images included on their sites. They never fail to inspire me. If you’re on the hunt for fresh wedding ideas, here’s some great places to check out!

  • Belle Amour an awesome British wed-blog, featured this fun vintage styled-shoot that I was lucky to collaborate on earlier last year with a handful of other amazing wedding professionals:

  • Las Vegas Bride Magazinea local print publication, featured images from Joanna & JR’s wedding in their October 2010 issue in an article on “Filipino Wedding Traditions” that gives a glimpse into several cultural traditions. Special thanks goes to Jennifer Bartol for getting in touch with me about being involved!

  • Las Vegas Wedding Plannerthe popular blog of Juliet Douglas of Green Orchid Events, featured some my images in an great article on doing a “First Look.” Click below to see the images from Monica & George’s first look and read up on the reasons why seeing each other before the ceremony is becoming increasingly popular:

Lani & FX: A Recipe for Love

From our first meeting I knew this artsy couple (she’s an interior-designer and he’s an architect) needed an engagement session that showed off their playful, creative personalities.

What’s their favorite thing to do? Cook! What’s their wedding colors? Pink and grey. What were they up for? Anything! Even messing up their entire kitchen for a shoot? Bien sur! (But of course!) I’m quite sure I gave out an audible squeal of delight when I saw that they had done their kitchen with light grey cupboards and soft-pink counter tops.

I decided then: we just had to take advantage of this cooking thing they love so much!  Since we were also shooting Lani and François’ destination wedding in Lille France, we added a pinch of macaroons, a dash of crepes and a whole lot of pastries to make it all complete.  We tied it all together by designing a custom signing book with these images for their guests to leave their own recipes for a delicious marriage!

Lani & François were also featured on one of my fav wedding blogs, the Wedding Chicks! Click below to see the feature and tons more photos from their shoot:

Lastly, I’m super-duper excited to share the fusion video Jayse made of their shoot with my stills and his footage!

Big shout out goes to Signs by Diane who created the beautiful, handmade “Love is Sweet” sign! Her signs are perfect for photo-shoots or wedding decor, or both! I could totally see something like this being reused for a dessert display. And the engraved heart measuring spoons in the video are by Beehive Kitchenware Co.

In addition to their twice annual magazine, Destination I Do has fantastic blog that’s updated regularly with articles, tips and inspiration that will pump you up with a full dose of destination-marital-bliss.
