It’s hard to know where to start with Liz and Jean. These two have become amazing friends to both Jayse and I through several fun photo-shoots and mini-adventures together over the past few years. You may remember them from their L.A. County Fair & Griffith Park engagement session that was featured on SMP earlier this year.
As you can probably tell from the photos, Liz and Jean are one of those couples you always feel happy just being around. I think part of it is that it’s easy to tell just how much they love each other, and how much they appreciate having good friends around.
And that’s how this wedding felt – a bunch of good friends and family gathering in sunny California for a stunning destination wedding on the romantic grounds of Greystone Mansion in Beverly Hills. The talented coordination trio, Scheme Events, was there to make sure every detail was in place and the entire day went flawless!
The morning started at The W Hotel in Hollywood, getting ready surrounded by close friends and loved ones.

I adored all the detail and love put into Liz and Jean’s wedding. The gorgeous floral was artfully created by the amazing team at Layers of Lovely, and custom letterpress invites were designed and made by Paper & Home.

For their first look, I brought Jean to a quiet private place between a long pathway of towering cypress trees. I think five years of loving Liz, and waiting for this day must have flooded Jean when he turned around to see his bride for the first time that day. His expression said it all.

The ceremony took place on the garden lawn, with a historic fountain and archway of soft peach and pink rose strands as the centerpiece.

The happy newlyweds – Mr. and Mrs. Sanchez! <3

The desert table was to die for (and incredibly delicious too!) Designed by Liz with the main cake by Peridot Sweets and smaller cakes and deserts by Sweet & Saucy Shop.
For their first dance as husband and wife Liz and Jean were serenaded by Frank Sinatra who sung “The Way You Look Tonight”.
A couple days after the wedding we met back up for an after-session and more photos in beautiful San Juan Capistrano:

L+J: Jayse and I love you guys!!! Congrats on finally tying the knot and becoming Mr & Mrs! You two are so perfect for each other. :-)

Guin and Eric met at a softball game and soon became fast friends. They started just hanging out after the games, until one night things heated up a notch! While out at a house party, Guin’s friends mentioned that Eric was ‘totally into her’. Guin decided to take matters into her own hands, pinning Eric in a corner of the room and planting a kiss on him. It must have been an amazing first kiss. Fast forward 4 years, Guin and Eric are officially husband and wife!
Their wedding day was a laid-back, fun destination affair that took place at the gorgeous Springs Preserve in Las Vegas. And with the talented team at Scheme Events coordinating the day went absolutely perfect!
To add an romantic touch to Guin & Eric’s outdoor ceremony in the Garden Arboretum, the wedding arch was adorned with vines, burlap fabric and an elegant chandelier.

The reception took place in the Gardens Terrace. All the beautiful floral was by Layers of Lovely, and the bistro sting lights provided by Kevin Cordova at LED Unplugged created a magical ambiance throughout the night. :-)

Happy 1 year anniversary to one of my favorite couples, Uri and Loren!!
You might remember these two from our snowy adventure up at Mt. Charleston for their engagement session (click here to see photos!) Their wedding was featured on Style Me Pretty earlier this year, but I’ve been dying to share them on my blog as well! I think you’ll be able to tell from the photos that Uri and Loren are one of those couples that exude pure joy when they’re together. That kind of vibe made their day a treat to be a part of and photograph!
Before the ceremony, I helped arrange a ‘first look’ in the beautiful gardens of the Springs Preserve where Uri and Loren shared a private moment together for just the two of them.

The ceremony was held in one of my favorite parts of the Springs Preserve, the beautiful Garden’s Arboretum.
After saying ‘I Do!’ and sealing things with a kiss, guests shared in the celebration by showering the happy newlyweds in bubbles as the came back down the aisle to Florence and the Machine’s “Dog Days are Over”.
Uri looked radient. Her hair and makeup was done up by Francesca Lombardo of Bobbie Pin Beauty.

I loved Uri and Loren’s wedding party! Here’s Uri and her fabulous crew:

Loren and his stylish groomsmen were rockin’ grey J.Crew suits and awesome mismatched bowties:

Amber and Derik are officially Mr. & Mrs! I must admit, I am absolutely crazy about this couple, so I’m thrilled to share a handful of images from their Lake Tahoe affair here on the blog today. :-)
When Amber and Derik first began their planning, they searched everywhere for a venue, from Mexico to San Diego to Hawii, before the perfect place finally hit them: Lake Tahoe. A place that’s very special to both them and their families. It’s not only where they spend their summers boating and relaxing, but also happens to be the place where Derik put one knee down in the sand and proposed. Knowing how special this location was, and after having such a amazing time with them on our engagement session in Santa Barbara (featured on Style Me Pretty), I couldn’t wait to photograph their wedding! It took place in the romantic outdoor setting of Hyatt Regency Resort in Incline Village. Check out how gorgeous Amber looked!
Amber is a fantastic wedding planner based out of San Francisco and co-founder of A Touch of Grace. But on her wedding day she turned the reigns over to her team, so that she could relax and enjoy her special day to the fullest. They did a beautiful job bringing her vision to life. Here’s just a few of the lovely details…

Amber and Derik had one of the coolest wedding parties ever! Here everyone’s rocking the shades Amber & Derik got them as gifts.
Love the matching shoes and custom socks the guys were sporting!
The ceremony took place on the beach overlooking the water.
Following the ceremony, Amber and Derik made their way down the dock for some cocktails and a celebratory boat ride with their wedding party on the Tahoe Star!
Here’s one of the whole gang taken with my iPhone (couldn’t resist getting an image for Instagram!)

We topped off the wedding weekend with a sunset after-session.

Amber + Derik – I’m so glad I got to know you and your awesome family! Congratulations guys!! <3
