Thanks for writing!! I'll get back with you shortly. :)

Oh No! Technology stinks sometimes. Something went wrong. Please try again or call me @ 702-321-3107. Thanks!

I *heart* my drobo!

Have you ever had a DVD give you that nasty ‘Cyclic Redudancy Error’?? Have you ever had a hard drive just stop working?? With all the data I work with everyday I sure have! That’s why I’ve always copied things multiple times on multiple hard drives + DVD’s + Online. The typical ‘make sure it’s safe!’ drill.  The Drobo’s about to put an end to most of that, at last!

I don’t get paid for this (although I’m thinking I should!) – but I must tell you about good things when I find them!

I’m always on the hunt for the absolute best backup and storage solutions. After all,  I have to keep all of your images VERY SAFE! DVD’s error out, hard drives DIE all too often and tape backup is way too slow.

Enter the ‘drobo

Drobo

For those that haven’t heard of this little guy yet, he is the worlds first automated storage robot. And I’m madly in love with him. You see, it’s a win-win relationship. I give him a mix of different sized hard drives along with a coveted position on my desk, and he makes sure all my files are completely protected and accessible at all times. We also have great communication – very important for any good relationship. If one (or even two) of the hard-drives decide to DIE on me (as they sometimes do), Drobo lets me know. No need to shut down or even stop working, I just pop a couple new drives in, and we’re back up and running!

Thanks for all you do my little drobot. <3

March 14, 2009 - 10:52 am Andy - PS - did you find out about that from jayse? I imagine he has tons of terabytes to store with all the video and feature film work he does

March 14, 2009 - 10:50 am Andy - I will have to check that out - thanks for mentioning it. looks like a cool (and cool looking) solution

March 13, 2009 - 10:47 pm Grady - Very cool! Bella looks like she's pretty happy about it as well. She's so cute!
