I’ve been traveling quite a bit this past month and have lots to blog in the next few weeks. First up – France!
It was amazing – Jayse and I spent some time in Paris where we did some sightseeing, a couple trash the dress shoots and my own boudoir photo-shoot at our fab hotel (all of which I can’t wait to share). But the big highlight (and main purpose) of our trip to France was a wedding of Lani & Francois in a quaint little town called Lille. Here’s the sneak peak!

Jayse and I have a special place in our hearts for these two. After they cooked for us at ther house here in town and we met their dog, Bobo we knew we’d become awesome friends – and sure enough – we did! What we didn’t expet was to find their entire family to be so welcoming and inviting. The day we got into Lille we were welcomed by Lani’s mom Nanda, her sweet cousins Michelle and Jared & their mom Tante, and Lani’s brother Kyle & his fiancé Brittany. François’s parents were also there to greet us for a welcome reception at their home and although they didn’t speak any English they communicated their warmth perfectly – and their hospitality was amazing. We felt like we had gained a new family.
On the wedding day, we started the day getting ready at the Olivarius Hotel, and for the first sight we snuck away to a secluded terrace where we made Lani & François wait in anticipation to see each other.
The ceremony took place in a beautiful 500 year old cathedral, L’eglise Saint Philippe, the church François grew up in. Can you imagine growing up in this church?? Fantastic!

For the getaway they drove off to the reception in a vintage BMW!

Now for the totally fabulous wedding party! From right to left is Brittany, David, our lovely bride & groom, Yannick & Michelle. You guys rock!
Lani looked amazing…

We also incorporated a windmill into some of their photos to pay tribute to Lani’s Dutch heritage.
As the sun set at a nearby park – we were thrilled to hear the loud ‘hhhhhhhsssshhhhsssshhhh’ sound of balloons firing off. One went directly over us! We made a mad dash over to the waterline to setup and grab this ending shot just before the sun went down!

L&F: Thanks so much for bringing us on this journey with you! The full set of these will be online soon! We love you guys and are so happy for you two & for all that’s to come as you start your life together.
UPDATE: Lani & François’s wedding was featured on Destination Inspirations! Big thanks goes to Jess McCann! Click here to see her post, including lots more images from Lani & FX’s wedding!
