First off, let me say that both Jayse and I LOVE San Antonio, TX! Upon our arrival we enjoyed a very romantic TexMex dinner along the famous Riverwalk, which, I might add, may just be the most magical place next to Disneyland. But a night out awaited – so we headed out for the rehearsal party with Lindsey, Nate and the gang at Cowboys (complete with a live band & lots of dancing). It was definitely the best introduction to Texas!
But even though that first night in Texas would be hard to top – I think it may have been the next day with the long anticipated wedding of Lindsey & Nate! You may remember these two from their steamy engagement session at the Neon Boneyard (also featured on Rock ‘N Roll Bride) earlier this year. I love these two, and looking back through their photos put such a huge smile on my face.
Lets starts things off with my phenomenal bride – Lindsey has such a classic beauty.

Details details details! You know I’m a details kind of girl – but I didn’t know that I was in for a TREAT with this wedding! Lindsey’s mom, Sharon, made the most fantastic wedding details I think I’ve ever seen. By Lindsey’s request, nothing living was used. Now – you’d think that would be a limitation that would cause just about anyone to throw in the towel. But not Sharon. She completely rocked it! Just check out one of THE coolest bridal bouquets I’ve ever seen:
It’s made of all metal elements, many of them with significant meaning to Lindsey and their family heritage — a dice and slot machine for their Las Vegas home, a horseshoe for Texas, a spoon for their Finland roots, her grandmothers earring, and so many more. Here’s just a few of the close-ups I captured:
I had Lindsey’s flower-girl show me the bottom of Lindsey’s shoes for a photograph of the pretty rhinestone appliques on the bottom. She accidentally held them backwards, which turned into a little joke between all of us — “Do I?” Hmm… Yep! “I Do”
Linds & her bridesmaids looked totally fabulous:
And just check out those bridesmaid bouquets too!
After some photos with the girls, we were off to the ceremony and reception at the lovely Vineyards Restaurant at Garden Ridge. As night fell the entire place became magical.

The mother-son/father-daughter dances were some of the most emotional I’ve ever witnessed. I think time literally stopped for everyone as we watched them move across the floor to their special songs. I’m so happy to have captured them.
Lindsey and Nate sharing their first dance as husband & wife…
The following day we planned a day-after session to capture some more images of the happy newlyweds. I don’t think I could ever get enough of these two…
L + N: Thanks for giving us a great adventure in San Antonio & to your fam for being so wonderful and inviting! We’re so happy we could be a part of everything.
BIG congrats to you both!! Hope you guys enjoy the teasers. The rest will be up soon!

Big thanks goes to Sophie for taking this of us!
Mindy and Neil were total troopers when I asked if they were “Ready to get a little wet (and sandy)?!” I’m happy they were since it made for some steamy images of them together.
Mad props to my Jayse for lighting that last one for me (and even getting your only shoes all wet and squishy in the process). Love you! xox
