I’m excited to share Chrissy & Jason’s engagement and wedding photos on the blog today! First, here’s a few from their engagement session. I was stoked when I found out that Chrissy collects vintage 40, 50 and 60′s attire. The adorable skirt below actually belonged to her great-grandmother. How cool is that?!
And this next hot little number came from the Bettie Page store. I love how playful and flirtatious they are in these!
The wedding day
With the wedding day came even more reasons to love these two. Even though a full day of pouring rain meant moving their outdoor ceremony and reception inside, it didn’t dampen their spirits in the least! The entire day was so full of positive energy and an overwhelming amount of love.
And to top things off, not only did they not sweat the rain, but they totally embraced it! Chrissy & Jason’s up-for-anything attitudes meant they were down for a bit of fun in the rain.

Last week Elena and Alan trekked out to Vegas from California to visit with family and get together for a engagement session! It had been some time since we’d seen each other, so it was a blast hanging out, catching up on things, and capturing some fun photos of them together.
Alan’s an amazingly talented piano player. So, we started things out at my place, where his fingers graced our baby grand with the sweet notes of a song he wrote for especially for Elena. This is the same song that will be playing in May when she takes that very special walk down the aisle. I could have died! It was gorgeous. And it’s one of two songs that he not only wrote for her, but had professionally produced and recorded. How romantic is that?! *melt* You see, he’s the talent behind A Thin Line, with the recently released album: A Thin Line | Between Love And Hate. It’s available on iTunes and Amazon and is definitely worth a check out!
Spend even a little time with Elena and Alan and you’re in for non-stop laughs.
I think it’s so sweet how they play and flirt. I couldn’t stop photographing. Hard to narrow down the images, but here’s a few that show what fun they have together.
Be on the lookout for their wedding (including fusion!) this May! I can’t wait!
April 9, 2010 - 7:33 pmSarah Rominger - Chelsea...you never cease to amaze me! You're constantly outdoing yourself :) I forgot to tell you - my parents are heading to Las Vegas next week. They asked, "Hey what is the name of that photographer that you love so much out there? Maybe we can visit her." ....no worries, I didn't give them your name ;)
April 3, 2010 - 6:11 amSarah Lee - They are super great together!! Absolutely adore the last image!!! Great job Chelsea!
March 26, 2010 - 2:50 pmJulie - They're definitely great together, and stylish too! I love the ones with her pulling his tie and the last one is just GORGEOUS.
March 25, 2010 - 10:37 pmohana photographers - poppin the cork, AWESOME chelsea!!
March 25, 2010 - 10:23 pmRene - I love these. Amazing work as usual Chels. I love the color and energy in these images! You always seem to bring out the best your couples. They look like they are having the time of their lives!
March 25, 2010 - 10:17 pms h e r r y - Love love love the ones in the desert! :)
March 25, 2010 - 6:58 pmAlan and Elena - Chelsea!!!! We absolutely love them!!!! You are a truly amazing photographer and an even more amazing person. Thanks so much for the fun times in the desert! We can't wait for May for more photos and the Fusion video where we can pop more champagne bottles, lol!!!
I’m so excited to announce that I’m now offering fusion coverage! Below is an example of what could be played at the wedding or sent as video-invites. Kory and Trent are awesome musicians so we convinced them to bring their gear out to the desert for their engagement session. We had such a blast and this was the Fusion Video Jayse put together for them:
“What would we want for our ultimate wedding photography coverage?”
Jayse and I start many local-pub conversations this way. Of course we talk with our mouths half-full of way-too-fattening-nachos (extra jalapenos for me, extra olives for Jayse please).
“What would we want for our ultimate wedding?” It’s a guideline for everything I do and all of my product offerings. Over the past six months these conversations have led to one missing component from our ultimate wedding coverage: Video.
But, wait! I’m not talking about your typical hour-long all-encompassing video. While there’s definitely a place for that (and I would be happy to recommend some really cool local videographers if that’s what you’re looking for), Jayse and I agreed that the kind of video we LOVE and wanted for our couples is a short-n-sweet, stylized piece from the day.
Jayse is no stranger to film. While I am editing photos, Jayse is usually across the desk from me designing and creating neat visual effects shots for big blockbuster films like Wolverine or 2012. In fact he’s currently working on Oliver Stone’s sequel to Wall Street. We both love great cinematography and we love great stories. And we knew if something more like the films we loved could be captured, edited, color-toned and rendered into our eager little hands – we’d have something we’d be proud to show off – or share it on our iPhones – or upload to our Facebook page – or watch on a big-screen.
And thus, we are very excited to announce:
Fusion: photography style video

Jayse and I got together with our great friends Peter and Jody for a much overdo family photo session with them and their amazing son, Miles. We thought he might be a little on the shy side, but this was not the case! He is definitely a little rockstar, and so much fun to photograph!
We even whipped out the light-sabers for a little Star Wars action!
Of course, I had to capture dad getting in on the action too!

Megan and Ryan recently moved out to Las Vegas from Indiana. And what better way to celebrate their new desert home than an engagement session in the middle of the dry lake bed! I had such a fantastic time photographing and spending the afternoon with these two. They both have such vibrant personalities that really shined through in our time spent together.
Here’s a few photos from the shoot…
I love you oh so well
Like a kid loves candy and fresh snow
I love you oh so well
Enough to fill up heaven overflow and fill hell
Love you oh so well
