Lauren + Clark

“He winked at me and I emailed him back.”

A wink. This simple flirtatious gesture – a wink on Match.com – sparked a lasting friendship and romance. Lauren told me she knew after their first phone conversation Clark would be someone she could see herself with for a while. As fate had it, she her intuition was spot on. Lauren and Clark became inseparable, doing everything together from cooking dinner, to taking random little day trips and one of their favorite pastimes - biking together. This was even how Clark proposed – while the two were on a bike trail near Lauren’s parents cabin in central PA.

With their love for the outdoors, we couldn’t think of a more perfect place than Red Rock Canyon for their engagement session.

Fast forward to the wedding day – I’m excited to share that Lauren and Clark are officially Mr. & Mrs.! :-)

Lauren looked breathtaking in her stunning asymmetrical wedding dress was by designer KittyChen Couture.

Though in the morning the high winds threatened to be a nuisance, the stormy weather calmed just in time leaving a cooling breeze and sunny skies. And what better place to enjoy it than at the Neon Museum where Lauren & Clark’s colorful personalities were perfectly in tune with the vibrant signs.

L+C: Congrats! Hope you guys had an amazing time honeymooning in Hawaii!! I can’t wait to hear all about your trip to Kauai and Maui. :-)

Sneak Peek: Laura + Andrew

It all started as Summer Love.

Laura and Andrew met while working at the same academic camp for the summer. Laura said that towards the beginning of the summer her and the other girls had ‘picked out’ their guy for the summer. She placed dibs on Andrew. Apparently he had his eyes set on her too… During a weekend trip with the kids to a baseball game, Andrew smoothly got closer and closer to Laura (skipping seats as kids moved around or got up to grab snacks). He got his lucky break when a slushie was split right next to her. He volunteered to clean it up, then claimed the spot by Laura. It became their ‘first date’ of many. Now, 5 years later, what started as a summer love has grown into a wonderful life together.

I’m looking forward to photographing Laura & Andrew’s wedding in a few weeks at the beautiful Westin Lake Las Vegas! In the meantime, here’s a few photos of the happy couple:

Danielle + Brian

Danielle and Brian are a fun, outgoing couple who love the outdoors! For their engagement session we planned a day up at Red Rock Canyon. Brian brought along his guitar since it’s one of his favorite pastimes and something he and Danielle enjoy together. Danielle loves listening to him play (especially when it’s just the two of them). His music is even how they first met! A mutual friend (Shooter) told them they would be ‘perfect together’ and invited Danielle to one of Brian’s shows. Though they didn’t get to talk that night – there was a connection from across the room. Brian told me he picked her out of the crowd and was secretly hoping she was the girl his friend was talking about. He called her later and the they’ve been together ever since. It turns out their friend was right – they really are perfect together.

Brian brought his killer, restored classic ’71 Bronco out for the day. Definitely a perfect car for cruisin’ the outdoors!They also brought their adorable dogs, Scrappy and Rhea, who were loving the wide open desert!Be sure to check back to see photos from Danielle and Brian’s wedding! It’s coming up this spring at Legends Ranch and is going to have lots of sweet personal touches – including a special performance by Brian. I can’t wait to be a part of and capture their big celebration!

Denise + Michael

One of Denise and Michael’s favorite pastimes is getting cozy and hanging out at home together along with their fur-babies, Toby and Mo. When we were chatting about what to do for their engagement session, I was thrilled when Denise mentioned that she wanted to bring their pups along with them from Los Angeles. Of course, in exchange for being so good they were handsomely rewarded with a tummy full of treats. I’m all about spoiling our little ones!

I love this sequence – Mo wasn’t quite sure what to make of mom and dad jumping on the bed. We were definitely having wayyy too much fun.

Toby and Mo looking ultra debonaire…In addition to getting cozy, Denise and Michael love getting dressed up for nights on the town. Their fashion style even rubbed off on their fur-babies who were rocking new doggie bow-ties that Denise picked up for the occasion! I loved Denise’s hair and makeup done up the talented girls of Your Beauty Call. And she knew how rock the look – just look at those seductive eyes.

Sneak Peek: Tracy & Alex

I love photographing couples that make me feel like I’m just out having a good time with friends. This shoot was non-stop laughs. We laughed A LOT. And on top of being such fun people to be around, I loved their unique style – from Alex’s collection of Pancaldi ties to Tracy’s little blue number and stylish shoes. It was so much fun to capture them together and I’m excited to share a few sneak peek images here on the blog.

Shout-out goes to Your Beauty Call for rockin’ Tracy’s hair and makeup!Check out Tracy’s hot Christian Louboutin‘s that Alex got her for the shoot. Good gift giver – not a bad quality to have in a husband. ;-) I can’t wait for the wedding this spring at Four Seasons! It’s bound to be amazing – especially with uber-fab Brit Bertino of Simply Weddings coordinating!

Britt & Michael’s Engagement

I’m excited to share some photos from Britt and Michael’s engagement session! I had a great time hanging out and capturing how these two are together – I’m pretty sure we laughed our way through the entire shoot!

Britt and Michael are from Kentucky, but they love traveling and I think it’s safe to say they have a bit of a love affair with Las Vegas. So for their engagement session we did things up Vegas-style with a trip to the fabulous Neon Museum! The bright retro signs ended up being the perfect compliment to Britt and Michael’s colorful, fun-loving personalities.

Do I spot a butt grab here? ;-) You two are so darn cute!
