It’s so beautiful in Central Park during the fall – with all the leaves beginning to turn and fall from the trees. So we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to have a little fun with Dennise and Harvey playing with them! It took us a while to gather up all these leaves – but this image pretty much sums up their personality together, so it was a definite must-have!
As night fell, we wandered out of the park.
I loved the magic feel of the street lamps so I couldn’t resist sneaking a few night shots as we left:

Dennise and Harvey first met at a little Starbucks coffee stand at their school. As Dennise stood in line one day, Harvey boldly criticized her choice of beverage and suggested his ‘special’ white chocolate mocha. Apparently – the mocha was good. She couldn’t stop thinking about him (or the mocha) after that… So this rainy little seating area in the middle of Times Square gave us the perfect excuse to grab some hot drinks and reminisce.

We all love NY!
Typically Jayse and I will warn our couples “You will get tired before we do – so tell us when you can’t take any more photos!”. We get so into it and have so much fun I think sometimes we could just shoot until our memory cards are full. (And, as we usually carry over 70GB on us, that could be quite a while!
Harvey and Dennise, however, never got tired. And neither did we. We stopped to have hot dogs, starbucks, dinner and drinks – and then kept going after that in the rain… at 1am… So it became a bit of a marathon shoot and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
Thanks for such a fun time in the city guys!
A couple weeks ago Jayse and I were in New York City for a trash the dress with Jamie and Arnold. I cannot say enough about this fab couple! Jamie is a ‘drop-dead-wow’ type jewelry designer and Arnold runs the business side of both Brian Danielle and their extremely popular online store Max and Chloe. I always love working with other small business owners and creative types – We just seem to click. And we definitely clicked!
We started off right too – at the cute and cozy La Bottega Restaurant inside The Maritime Hotel in the Meatpacking District in Manhattan. Although we hadn’t planned on it originally – the lovely staff graciously let us photograph inside during business hours. They carefully set two place-settings at the very same booth where Arnold had proposed. This was, by the way, also where they shared their very first date and celebrated their engagement party. So, yeah – an important place to capture!

It was so much fun hearing their story. For the proposal Arnold had gotten the restaurant manager and staff involved to bring the ring out on a silver platter and make it a romantic little surprise. Can ya blame me for wanting to recreate it on camera?

Afterward, we drove across the bridge to explore Dumbo Brooklyn, a favorite area of theirs that’s filled with art, grunge and fantastic views of the Manhattan Skyline.

I mentioned Jamie’s a fab-U-lous designer – so it’s no surprise she has such incredible taste! She looked stunning in her custom Monique Lhuillier wedding gown and the gorgeous diamond chandelier earrings which she designed specifically to match.

We ended the night with the setting sun and the magic of the New York City skyline in the background.

Jamie and Arnold – Thanks for kicking it with Jayse and me and making it such an adventurous and fun night to remember!

Hello! Jayse and I are shooting in the heart of Manhattan right now and loving it! Once I’m back in Vegas I’ll blog all about the recent happenings – including weddings, Style Me Pretty feature, e-shoots, and some rockin’ trash the dresses. But for now, I just wanted to share a quick image from my trash the dress shoot on Saturday in New York City.
It’s the very last shot of a really fun night with Dennise and Harvey in Times Square:

As a super-quick summary, our trip started out right with a little excursion to Connecticut to see our favorite photographer couple Justin and Mary Marantz. We finally got to meet their dog Cooper (who catches apple pieces like no one’s business!) and see their amazingly capacious new house (with an expansive waterfront view that had Jayse and I considering moving right in with them!) Last night we had an engagement session in Central Park with the super sweet Billy and Laura (pix to come!) – and now we’re gearing up for a Trash The Dress in the Meatpacking District and Dumbo Brooklyn.
So far this trip has been amazing – all the people we’ve been able to hang out with have made this experience something I will treasure for a very long time. But no more time for reminiscing now! Time to grab a quick lunch and shoot shoot shoot!
