Together, Rana and Ryan have a wanderlust and profound love for the outdoors, so we ventured to the beautiful California desert where we spent the day hiking the sand dunes, laughing and soaking up the sun – all in celebration of their recent engagement!

Rana and Ryan have known each other since their teens – but they’re still playing cat and mouse!

After sharing this little sandy photographic adventure together, I am even more excited to photograph their wedding this summer at Dragon Ridge Country Club. It’s going to be a beautiful, cultural affair with Arabic themes and a blending of their two families. And to top things off, they’ve assembled quite an incredible team with Darby Fitzpatrick of Open Inviation Las Vegas handing planning & design and Atomic Tangerine Films working their video-magic. I can’t wait to be a part of their big day and the start of their married life together! :-) <3

Nearly nine years after their first encounter through mutual friends at a dance club – where Eddie wooed Sybil with his intriguing eyes and smooth moves on the dance-floor and Sybil captured Eddie, first with her beauty, then with her quick wit and down-to-earth personality – they are getting married! I can’t wait for the big weekend this August at the chic M Resort here in Las Vegas.

And for a little pre-wedding celebration, we went on a mini-adventure where we spent the day exploring, soaking up the warm desert sun and capturing just how perfect these two are together. <3

For more from these two, check out the killer behind the scene’s video Eddie & team put together from our shoot! http://vimeo.com/119097570

Also, I just have to share their sweet proposal video: https://vimeo.com/88863270 – Eddie & Sybil are both super creative (Eddie is also owner & the talent behind video production company Salty Tiers!) And with their love of unique and creative art, they share a quirky, fun tradition of collecting caricature drawings together wherever they travel. So, for his proposal, Eddie staged the ultimate caricature – one which ended with him on one knee and Sybil saying “YES!”  ^_^ Check it out above!

E+S: Had a blast with you guys & can’t wait to see you again soon for the big weekend!

Wow, what a year! Huge thanks and virtual hugs to all my amazing couples, friends and family that made this year absolutely incredible! I’ve been so busy that I haven’t been able to blog much, but you can be sure that I have TONS of images that I can’t wait share with you (coming very soon).

For now, I want to take a moment to wish everyone a happy Christmas! For the last few years Jayse and I have been making personal holiday cards with the theme of “Christmas in the Desert.” Here’s the photos from this years card:

I hope you have a magical Christmas and New Years with the ones you love the most! 2012 here we come! :-)
