I’m so excited to share Amber and Bill’s vintage inspired wedding, full of the romance and elegance of the 50′s. Their wedding took place at the gorgeous Red Rock Casino and was coordinated by the fabulous Juliet of Green Orchid Events.
Here’s a bit more behind their special day in Amber’s words:
Our wedding day is inspired by the glitz and glamour of Las Vegas in the late 1950s and early 1960s, a time when Mr. and Mrs. America came to Hollywood’s playground and rubbed elbows at the roulette table next to Marilyn Monroe, Ann Margret, and a young Senator named Kennedy. Showrooms up and down the strip booked headliners like Frank and the boys, Liberace, Don Rickles, and Wayne Newton. It was a time when a man could get a shrimp cocktail or a juicy prime rib for a buck or two.
We love this special and more innocent era when space age optimists looked towards the sky to see the future, Lincoln Continentals cruised the Strip at 7 MPG, men were men, and it was ok for a fella to go crazy in the head over some broad. Bill would never dare call Amber a “broad,” but he loves her with the same spirit.

For a bit of extra special Vegas-style entertainment, Amber and Bill had showgirls greet their guests as they entered into the reception as well as a fantastic surprise Frank Sinatra impersonator!
These gorgeous centerpieces were done by the very talented Teresa at Enchanted Florist. In addition to the beautiful floral, each table had a different framed image that paid tribute to the casinos of Vegas past.
Also, how adorable are these little root beer float shooters that were served with the cake?!

Amber and Bill came out to Vegas this month for their fabulous wedding at Guardian Angel Cathedral and Rock Rock Resort. And a few days prior to the wedding, we got together for a fun engagement photo shoot down the strip!
The look was inspired after Amber and Bill’s favorite TV Show, Mad Men, and their 50′s vintage wedding theme. We had a blast playing it up! And it wouldn’t have been complete without Penny, a lovely 1955 Pontiac Starchief convertible.

Due to some engine problems, poor Penny never made it out of the parking lot. So instead we took Celeste, a beautiful 1953 corvette relpica, out for a night on the town!

Sally and Pete came out from London for an intimate wedding with just the two of them. It was their first time in the states and they went all out, celebrating their honeymoon in New York, Las Vegas, LA and San Francisco (and of course, getting hitched along the way). While they were in town we met up for a night out and a couple’s bridal with a little vintage flav-ah! Sally rocked out a beautiful 1940′s vintage dress and we hit up downtown old-Vegas.

It didn’t take too long for Sally’s sassy side to come out and play. Aren’t they great together?!

Remember Sara and Trevor from their Retro-Style Engagement Session? We’ll they are back and married! It was such an amazing night, and I’m so happy I was able to be a part of it.
Now, some photos! Lets start things off with Trev chillin’ with his guys…

Then our newlyweds – Sara and Trevor looked incredible together!

And I totally loved their fun group of friends. This crowd definitely knows how to paartay! The dance floor was filled all night long.

Sara and Trevor – love ya guys! Best of luck with the move to San Diego! We’re going to miss you lots. Jayse and I will definitely have to come visit out there sometime, and don’t hesitate to call if you’re ever back in town!
Sara and Trevor will be rockin’ out a classic vintage style on their wedding day, so we decided to hit up downtown Vegas for their engagement photos! Jayse came too and the four of us had a great time causing a little trouble, getting kicked out of parking garages, blocking stairways, strolling the streets, and of course taking lots of photos!

After working up an appetite we all hit up the 50′s-diner ‘Cheeburger Cheeburger’ which was both delicious AND fit the theme! What a fun night!
Be sure to keep a look out for their May 30th wedding photos!
When the absolutely fantastic Michigan-based wedding photographer Jackie Blair contacted me to help trash her wedding dress in Las Vegas, I was both thrilled and honored. Not only has Jackie created amazing images and shot alongside photo luminaries such as Scarlet and Becker, but she’s also a pretty fine-looking model!
The plan: Up for anything! (my fave)
The Look: unique-vintage-funk – vegas neon night lights
The Location: Old-Schoo Las Vegas baby!

Thanks for rockin’ out this shoot with me Jackie!
