Elena and Alan are one of those up-for-anything, spur of the moment kind of couples that makes an 11-hour shoot fly by in an instant and leave you wishing for more: more childish fun at the park, more running to the ice cream man and more unforgettably romantic moments. The wedding ceremony was held at the beautiful St. Viator Catholic Church here in Las Vegas. And Elena was looking absolutely radiant with hair & makeup all done up by Megan and team at Makeup in the 702.
Elena and Alan planned plenty of time in-between the ceremony and reception so that we would have time to capture some fun photos with them and their wedding party without needing to rush. This definitely provided some good goof-off opportunities!
Elena was looking fabulous as was her bridal party in their sapphire blue bridesmaid dresses!
As we were taking pictures we heard the familiar tune of ice cream man’s truck and the entire wedding party ran at a frantic pace across the park to catch it!
Of course, I had to get the wedding party rockin’ their ice cream!
Alan and his groomsmen popped champagne bottles at the Welcome to Las Vegas sign. And yep, my camera got hit with a bit of it. But it was all good – it’s super tough and has endured much worse. Plus, we got the shot!
During the reception Alan performed a medley of love songs ending in an original song that he wrote especially for Elena, titled “For Sure.” It was one of the most touching moments during a reception that I’ve ever experienced. It gets me a little teary-eyed just writing about it. I mean seriously, how great would it be for the love of your life to perform a song he wrote only for you in front of all of your family and friends.
The song Alan played for Elena is also in his amazing album called A Thin Line which is available at iTunes & Amazon. I have the whole album and it’s hugely recommended.
